Raya Brite Stick Overview

The Brite Stix RGB LED Light Wand V3 from Raya will add drama, depth, and some fun to your photos, vlogs, and YouTube and TikTok videos. It provides even illumination along its 15" length and is extremely simple to operate. A remote control is included for wireless operation from up to 23' away. This LED wand features three operating modes for selecting color temperature, a hue from the color wheel, or one of twelve built-in dramatic and creative lighting effects.

The handle is equipped with a standard 1/4"-20 thread for tripod mounting. The wand is powered by an integrated rechargeable li-ion battery that can be recharged virtually anywhere via a powered USB computer port or a power adapter, available separately. A carrying case is included for storage and transport.

CCT and RGB Modes
Six RGB presets offer pre-mixed red, green, blue, yellow-green, purple, and cyan-biased color renditions for creative expression. CCT mode features a color temperature range of 3000 to 6000K and can be adjusted in 100K increments. RGB mode lets you select from 39 colors around the color wheel.
Three White Balance Presets
The wireless remote can be used to select the three white balance presets. The 3000K preset has the warmth of a tungsten bulb or the light from a fireplace, and the 6000K preset provides the look of bright natural daylight. The 4500K preset is a cool white light that simulates the light in well-lit homes and apartments.
Adjustable Brightness
Adjustable stepped dimming lets you set the output to exactly the exposure you want for your video. Brightness can be adjusted using the analog controls on the wand or via the wireless remote.
Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery
The Brite Stix is powered by an integrated lithium-ion battery that can be recharged from any powered USB port on a computer, laptop, or power bank.

A handy RGB light wand

I have been using the Raya Brite Stix RGB Light Wand and it has been working just as advertised. I like the size and weight of it because it is easy to grab when I need a little extra light, and the different colors and effects give me some options beyond just using it as a basic light. I have not had any issues with it so far, and the controls on the wand are simple enough that I can make adjustments without having to spend much time figuring things out. One thing I appreciate is the included remote control. It is nice being able to make adjustments from a distance instead of having to pull out my phone and use an app every time I want to change the brightness or color. That is a small convenience, but when I am in the middle of setting up a shot it makes things much easier. The rechargeable battery is also convenient, especially when I want to use it handheld. The carrying case is another nice bonus too. It gives me an easy place to keep the light, remote and accessories together when I am moving equipment around. I find this a useful light that has been reliable for me. It does what I expect it to do, the remote works well, and I have had no problems using it. This is a great, affordable RGB wand. I'm really impressed with the overall build quality. It has a nice aluminum shell around the actual light which gives it a sturdy and protected quality. But is still very lightweight. Buttons feel firm and responsive. It feels like a more expensive light than you would expect to get at this low price point. I don't have a light meter, but it puts out a good amount of light in my opinion. Once you learn how the buttons on the handle work and the layout, it's pretty easy to navigate around. With the remote there are easy buttons to adjust color temp, brightness, effects or adjust rgb colors. And let me just say I like having a physical remote as opposed to an app. Don't get me wrong, sometimes an app is great, but for something like this I would much rather be able to quickly change settings than worry about scrambling through my phone to use an app. I like having an LED light wand in my kit for a couple of reasons. It's a good back light because it is so light and maneuverable. I screwed on a little 90-degree mount/holder that allows me to tilt the light horizontally. This helps with flexibility on the light's angle and to use it as a backlight. Also, it could probably cover 2 people being interviewed, especially if they are sitting close. Having a remote is great because you can make fine-tuned adjustments while the light is in position and running. This wand light checks all the boxes for me as it's lightweight, bright, and includes a remote control. Plus, having played with it a little I can think of even more situations I'll be able to use it. The small, thin form factor will be great to hide as a low backlight behind a stationary person's body to create a glow around the subject. I also love that it is rechargeable and comes with a strap, making it a great handheld portable light. The strap and charge-ability has me thinking of all the situations I can use it walking along with a moving subject during moving shots. And also, to create moving light effects handheld. This will be cool. Some additional things about the light. It comes with a diffusion already on the light to soften it. The battery run time is impressive. I left it running on full brightness after a full charge and it lasted close to 2 hours of run time. Which I found fantastic. One more thing to add, I love that it comes with a case. That might sound insignificant to some, but to be able to pack it away, with the remote and charging cable and keep it all neatly self-contained is fantastic. The chances of damaging the light or losing the accessories goes down significantly. Having a case is appreciated. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
