Watson DuoVolt Overview

The DuoVolt Charger for NP-FZ100, NP-FW50, or NP-BX1 Batteries from Watson offers dual charging speeds with both high-voltage and low-voltage settings, supporting both fast and slow charging speeds to optimize battery health. It is compatible with Sony NP-FZ100, NP-FW50, and NP-BX1 type batteries and allows the different types to be mixed and matched while charging. The DuoVolt charger features a highly visible LCD for easy monitoring to monitor charge status. Intelligent circuits provide protection from overheating and short circuiting. The convenient standby mode saves power when the charger is not in use. It can be used to check battery levels even without a power source, ensuring battery status is always available when on location.

Dual Charging Speeds
The DuoVolt offers two speeds for charging compatible batteries with high-voltage and low-voltage settings. Compatible with Power Delivery (PD) and QC power supplies. Fast charging is available for immediate battery use, or gradual charging for a healthier battery.
Three Battery Combo
Charge any combination of the frequently used Sony NP-FZ100, NP-FW50, or NP-BX1 batteries at the same time.
Specifications and Health
Get battery information and health status with the press of a button. View battery temperature, accumulated charge capacity, and the elapsed charging time.
High Visibility Color LCD Screen
The LCD provides a highly visible readout for charging and battery information, even from across the room. The multicolor feedback indicates whether a battery is charging, fully charged, or if the high- or low-charging mode has been set.
Intelligent Protection
Automatic circuits detect currents exceeding the battery limits and enable a safety cutoff that prevents overheating and offers protection from short circuits. A battery health rating function shows if batteries are in poor or good working condition.
Standby Mode
The charger will enter standby mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. Simply insert or remove a battery or press a button to wake it.
Check Battery Without Power Source
Conveniently check battery level outdoors or on location without the charger being connected to a power source.

Smart and versatile charging solution

This charger works just as advertised, I've had zero issues. Since I use multiple Sony cameras with different battery types, being able to charge NP-FZ100 and NP-FW50 batteries on the same charger is a huge convenience. I really like the flexibility of having both fast and slower charging options depending on what I need. The LCD screen is also a great feature because it gives useful battery information at a glance instead of just guessing where things are in the charging process. The compact size and USB-C connection make it easy to throw into my gear bag for travel or location shoots. I also appreciate being able to check battery levels without the charger being plugged in, which is a small feature that has come in handy more than once. This is a well-designed charger that simplifies my setup and saves space. If you use multiple Sony cameras, this is a great accessory to have in your kit. Works, but not out of the box!

This charger charges two batteries at one of two speeds BUT only if you have a high power laptop charger to plug it into!!! This charger does NOT come with the ability to plug it in and start charging out of the box! Which is insane. The camera supplied charging block that charges the batteries in camera won’t work, larger cellphone chargers won’t work, laptop ports won’t work, dedicated USB C outlets wont work. You need a 45 watt laptop charger to ensure this will work. Buyer beware.
