Threads on great, magnetics work great…but you really have to adjust the CP lock screws almost to the point where they fall off if you need to readjust or else it scratches the paint off.

Can you use an adapter ring from another brand? It's going to get expensive buying multiple individual adapters.

To use the V2 Hybrid VND/CPL magnetic filter system on different lenses, you do need the Freewell Adapter Ring with Back Cap for the V2 Hybrid VND/CPL Magnetic Filter System (77 mm). It does not work with other brand adapters.

Will this adapter ring work with the M2 magnetic quick swap filter 5 pack, if I purchase this for another lens?

The Freewell Adapter Ring with Back Cap for V2 Hybrid VND/CPL Magnetic Filter System (77mm) does not work with the Freewell M2 Magnetic Quick Swap Filter 5-Pack (77mm). This is the correct adapter to use those filters on a lens that is 77 mm, the Freewell M2 Magnetic Quick Swap Base Ring (77 mm), BH #FRFW77M2ER.
