To help facilitate card usage in almost any environment as well as keeping your content safe, Delkin designed its POWER Series to be resistant to shock and water. Please note that this card is not compatible with CompactFlash, CFast 2.0, or CFexpress Type A hosts.

This card has higher sustained write compared to all older Black card gens. why would anyone buy older gen Black cards overthis?

There is no reason to buy a slower Delkin card from the Black line over the Delkin Devices 1TB POWER 4.0 CFexpress Type B Memory Card. For this reason, many of the older Delkin Black cards are being discounted and/or discontinued.

How do these differ from the Delkin Black series? Running temperature wise, sustained write speeds, etc?

The Delkin Devices 1TB POWER 4.0 CFexpress Type B Memory Card can write at a similar max speed and runs at a similar temperature than the Delkin Devices 1.3TB BLACK 4.0 CFexpress Type B Memory Card. However, the sustained write speed of the BLACK card is higher at 2150 MB/s vs. 1570 MB/s on the POWER card.

I am using a Z 8 with a Delkin Black 150 CF ...

I am using a Z 8 with a Delkin Black 150 CF Express Card Type B and NO backup card. How does the Delkin Power 512 compare?

Per discussion with Delkin customer support on January 16, 2025 I learned that the older 2.0 Black cards would be slightly faster than the new 4.0 Power cards in a host that does not support 4.0, for example, my new Canon R1? The higher published speed of the 4.0 Power cards is only realized in a host that supports 4.0.
