The Black Box KVX Series KVM 4K Extender Kit is a DisplayPort KVM solution designed for secure, long-distance workstation extension. Supporting UHD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps, the system extends DisplayPort video, analog audio, USB 2.0, and RS-232 serial signals up to 328' over a standard Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. A DisplayPort loopback output on the transmitter enables local monitoring, making the system well suited for control rooms, industrial environments, and centralized IT deployments.
Engineered for reliability and operational flexibility, this KVX extender supports transparent USB 2.0 extension for keyboards, mice, and mass storage devices, along with bidirectional analog audio for microphone and speaker connectivity. Integrated RS-232 passthrough allows direct control of serial-based peripherals such as touchscreens and scanners.
