The Cokin P Series Black Net 2 Filter can be applied to purposely reduce the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles in portraits or to apply a general soft-focus effect. An array of thin, black lines is distributed upon this filter in a cross-screen pattern. This pattern smooths the appearance of fine lines and textures, which can be useful for creating a more flattering result of a subject.
This filter has a grade of 2. A grade of 1 is also available where this filter type's effect becomes approximately half as strong with each grade number decrease.
This filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39). When used, the Cokin P Series Black Net 2 Filter's 0.1 density darkens the entire image by 0.3 stops. This reduction in exposure can be compensated for by adjusting the aperture setting of the lens it is placed on, or the shutter speed of the camera being used.
