Kondor Blue Pro Battery Plate with Swiveling ... Overview

The space gray Pro Battery Plate with Swiveling Rod Block from Blue Kondor includes a variety of power output ports, along with two 100W USB-C PD ports for both power output and input. The top of the plate boasts integrated magnetic power contacts for Kondor Blue Expansion Modules.

Constructed entirely from machined aluminum, the plate features four ARRI-style anti-twist mounts and additional M4 mounts and can be positioned in eight different ways to best fit your rigging needs. An on/off switch with a magnetic cover and an LED power indicator are both integrated into the design, and the V-mount plate has been downsized to better match the increasingly popular micro-sized batteries.

Lots of problems until I used a compatible PD power supply, incredible now.

Mine is for an iPhone rig but I've read others having the same issues with standard cameras as well. What I expected of this plate was: 1- USB-C PD power via external source, with or without a battery in place. 2- Recharge the battery while PD power was connected. 3- Hot swap battery while PD power was connected. None of these worked correctly on my rig using MacBook USB-C power supplies and legit PD cables. On a whim I plugged in an older HP laptop charger and everything runs absolutely PERFECT. The plate always provides power via battery or AC adapter, switching back and forth is seamless and charging is predictable when PD is present. Everything just works, no guessing. Another bonus is the D-Tap connections are reversible and the onboard battery level lights are handy. And yes the V-Mount batteries are nice and snug. I'm going to reach out to Kondor Blue to see if their own wallwart style USB-C power supply is compatible like this. You shouldn't have to guess if your PD will work correctly. Bottom line is if your PD isn't compatible this device will frustrate you, if it is you are in for a real treat.

This has to be the absolute strongest mount plate I’ve ever used the controls are smooth but when you lock it in any position it WILL NOT BUDGE, a huge bonus for me is the various mounting positions and the strength of the battery mount lock itself. Rest assured your battery is not slipping out of place at the most inconvenient time. This thing is rock solid.
