The Alpha·Omega 500 is loaded with useful tone-controlling features including adjustable compression, drive, drive gain, preamp gain, master volume, and a Blend knob for precisely mixing the clean and distorted signals. You also get push buttons for Passive or Active mode, distortion circuit on or off, and Bite and Growl, which offer a 2.8 kHz high-mid peak boost and shelving bass boost respectively. The I/O is extensive, including two speakON speaker outputs, an FX loop, pre- and post-DI XLR outputs, a headphone output with dedicated volume control and cab emulation, and even MIDI, USB, and footswitch connections.
