Expanding on the versatility of the Microtubes X7, the Microtubes X Ultra from Darkglass Electronics offers a multiband compressor and distortion engine for precision bass tone sculpting. With a high-frequency drive and low-frequency compression layout that sports 6-band graphic EQ, you get an ideal tool for modern bassists.
You can control the compression and drive amount for the low and high frequencies respectively, as well as control the output level of the low- and high-pass signals. Encoders allow you to select the low- and high-pass cutoff points for greater flexibility when finding your ideal tone. EQ control includes four mid bands and both a low and high shelf, plus a master output volume slider. You also get vital connectivity, including a standard 1/4" output, a balanced XLR DI output with ground lift, and cabinet simulation for pro audio gear, a stereo aux input, and a stereo headphone output. You can also use the USB-C connection to load custom cabinet IRs and control your pedal from the Darkglass Suite app.
