Neutrik NA-2I2O-DLINE Overview

Add two channels of analog audio inputs and outputs to a DANTE network with the Neutrik NA-2I2O-DLINE Line I/O to DANTE, a rugged breakout box with balanced XLR inputs and outputs that allows you to feed analog audio signals into the DANTE network while simultaneously receiving a mix from another DANTE source.

The I/O to DANTE interface is designed for harsh stage conditions and features lockable chassis connectors for both the audio and network connections. For fixed installations, the rubber protection can be removed. With optional mounting brackets or a rack panel, the box can be mounted below tables, in floor boxes, or in equipment racks.

The quality is rugged and use is straight-forward. The XLR-M outputs drive balanced line signals as expected. Boot sequence after power application takes a minute or so. Regarding Dante routing, this unit (like most 2-in / 2-out models) does not support subscription of the outputs to receive from inputs on the same device. This is not a typical use-case, but it is a capability which larger interfaces (e.g. A&H Mixer Dante Cards) can support so I mention it here in case anyone is wondering. These units support the function of being the master clock and renegotiation of clock master operates smoothly per Dante standards as devices are added/removed to the network. As a test I tried routing XLR-M outputs directly to "Unbalanced TS Inputs" on a Radial KL-8. This did need an isolation transformer (e.g. Twin-ISO or ICE-Cubes) between the NA-2I2O-DLINE and the "Unbalanced Inputs" to avoid issues with PoE recycling of the NA-2I2O-DLINE.
