This AC power adapter can power your camera from mains power. It is required to power the camera when you need to record high-resolution video externally using an optional USB SSD to ensure enough power is provided to maintain high-resolution file recording and high frame rates over 61 fps. The AC cable adapter is also required by the separately available DMW-DCC18 coupler, which can be used when the camera's USB-C port is occupied.
