The 24" FLEX PLUS | 16:9 Large Format | Teleprompter with 24" 400 c/dm² Monitor & 24" Talent Moitor from Prompter People features a VGA reversing monitor, 65/35 beamsplitter glass, and a 24" RGB IPS color accurate talent monitor onitor with 3G-SDI in and loop out, two HDMI, and a VGA input. This prompter is well suited for studio use and is designed as a FreeStanding model, which includes a stand and rapid adapter, so you can mount the prompter on a separate stand from the camera. It includes a removable back sled, so you can convert the teleprompter from a freestanding prompter to a sled-mount prompter that supports nearly any camera, ranging from small camcorder to ENG broadcast camera. The 65/35 glass and hood can be folded down for transport and storage, and the included Telescroll software provides the prompter control from your Windows or macOS computer.

How is the brightness of the 400 nit version? Is it legible outside in sun? Are you happy you bought the 1000 nit, if you did so?
Your use-case/scenario will usually dictate if 400 nits are enough, but generally speaking 400 nits isn't that bright. As a test, if you have a newer smartphone, those typically go up to approximately 700~900 nits. If you are satisfied with its brightness at around 50%, you might be able to get away with the 400 nit model.
