Profoto Telezoom Reflector Overview

Profoto continues to expand its versatile hard reflector line with the white TeleZoom Reflector. Designed for long-throw use, the TeleZoom Reflector has a deep shape and white-coated interior to create direct, soft light. By boosting the light output from a Profoto flash head, the TeleZoom works great if you require even illumination over long distances.

Compatibility
The TeleZoom reflector works with both protruded and flat-fronted lights, making it fully compatible with any 100mm-mount Profoto light. If used with a protruded head, users will benefit from a stronger light output, but when combined with flat fronts, the reflector will create an even, broader spread of light.
Inner White Color
The reflector's white-coated interior delivers a wider, evenly balanced light spread, while maintaining contrast and texture without being too harsh. It offers the perfect mix of crispness and softness, enhancing brightness more than a bare light.
Profoto Zoom Capability
Thanks to Profoto's proprietary zoom functionality, you gain the ability to physically adjust the reflector for precise control while shaping the light. Simply slide the reflector back and forth on the light head to achieve the exact look you need.
Additional Accessories
Works with optional Profoto accessories for further control.

Profoto Telezoom Reflector Reviews

Awesome Reflector!

I'm a sports and construction photographer. The 20-30 Profoto Telezoom Reflector comes in handy when shooting construction in some places we are not allowed but need the extra lighting. This reflector does that and more. You can be real creative using these reflectors during sports action photography.

Parabolic shapes and the telezoom

Parabolic reflectors can send light out in a parallel bean when the source is at the focus. This is the idea with the Broncolor Para reflectors and they are exactly parabolic in shape. And so they should be considering the price. Whatever Profoto spend their money on to produce the telezoom reflector, it is not to make it parabolic and therefore give it the longest light throw. Close to the origin it is not too bad but it falls apart about halfway out. A great pity as it would not seem too hard to do it properly and make the reflector do what is intended.

Will this work well for lighting a sports arena?

Will this work well for lighting a sports arena?

I use several of these for equine sports. You can't use one of these to light up an entire arena, but this helps you project light across to the middle or far side of the arena. (I use 2 D2's to light up a target area on the opposite side of the arena, while a single one is enough for a target area in the middle.)
