Leofoto LVF-163C Tripod with FH-10 Video Head Reviews

First video centric fluid head and tripod.

Have been using the Leofoto LVF-163c + FH-10 head for a month now. I like it but the head is frustrating. I started shooting more video so decided to get a video centric system. I build my rig in 2 configurations, 1 for wildlife which weighs between 12-13#s and 1 for concerts which weighs about 6-7#s. I can get both rigs to balance and float horizontally with the counterbalance on its lowest setting of 1 and tilt drag at 0. Now when dialing in the counterbalance and drag, I can not get either rig to stay in position if angled up or down. The camera will ever so slowly creep forward or back and I need to engage the tilt lock a little to get it to stop. My rigs must fall in between the counter balance steps as the head is rated to counterbalance 17.6#s. I’m keeping the COG as low as possible. The legs are relatively stiff and the 1 latch per leg is really nice for deployment. The mid-level spreader is convenient. Overall I like the kit and have been getting smoother footage versus my old legs and gimbal head. One other thing is the tripod does come with the carry handle even though it is not listed. As usual the B&H transaction was flawless with ordering and fast shipping. Excellent customer service.
