Definitely an upgrade from the VD-03 with longer leg supports and seems sturdier as well. Also has a special screw attachment so it will screw easily into the Leofoto MP-326C Monopod, Unfortanely, the bottom pedal which controls the rotation of the top head did not lock when released up. The tension on the top head was no different whether you press down or release the pedal that determines the tension. The VD-03 is rock solid when locked in and rotates easily when unlocked. Maybe was just defective? Not sure and might try to order another to see if same thing happens.
I bought this after getting the Leofoto MPC 366c mono pod at the B&H Bild event. Leofoto hides all the way on the bottom of any description that it is not compatible with MPC monopod. The screw is too short. So if looking for it for another brand stay away as it probably has too short of a screw for that too.
