How Character v4 was Created
- To create Character v4, Metric Halo asked top tracking, mixing, and mastering engineers to send their favorite analog hardware including mic pres, DIs, and EQs.
- The company used SpectraFoo software to measure how these processors add lovely, soft analog distortion to the audio passing through them.
- Metric Halo then modeled this distortion using proprietary +DSP technology.
