Securely mount your mic on your camera with the Radius RAD-2 Microphone Shockmount for Camera Shoe. This shockmount is suitable primarily for outdoor shoots with a slip-on fur windshield on the mic or indoor when using the mic by itself. Designed to hold standard-length shotgun and small-diaphragm pencil microphones (19-25mm in diameter, up to 250mm in length), this suspension provides exceptional isolation from movement, handling noise, and other vibrations associated with booming.
This RAD-2 features two soft-coated universal mic clips. It also includes two standard-firmness hoops (black) mounted to a machined-aluminum bracket designed in partnership with MID49. The RAD-2 hoops are slightly thicker than RAD-1 hoops and have an extra 3mm of bracing on top to hold the extra weight of front-heavy microphones. The base of the shockmount comes with a ratcheting shoe mount adapter to ensure a secure fit on cameras and other quick connects such as ARRI adapters, which accept the square shoe plates.
- The ratcheting shoe lock ensures secure fit and easy on/off. The mount can be reversed 180° to move the mic further backwards, keeping the front of the mic or fur wind cover away from the lens and out of the shot.
- All of the components of the RAD-1, RAD-2, and RAD-3 shockmounts are produced using virtually indestructible thermoplastic elastomers from high-precision injection molding in an ISO-9000 certified factory (no 3D printing ).
- Each of the parts for all versions of the mounts are interchangeable for use.
- Spare parts are also available to add individual components to your mount as needed.
- The RAD shockmounts are made in England.
