WD Internal HDD Reviews
A hard disk I trust
I've used WD Black hard disks for many, many years and never had a failure. Upgrades have always been due to needing more space over the years. In my opinion the "gaming" moniker is marketing but the five year warranty speaks to the manufacturing quality.
B&H Doesn’t Miss On Packaging HDDs
I don’t usually write reviews, but here’s why you should choose B&H for hdds. I ordered the same exact hard drive from another large retailer and it arrived in an akwardly larger box with no bubble wrap or any material to absorb impacts (about 6x bigger than the size of the products box). Now, if I’m spending over $300 for a 10TB hard drive I would expect some kind of extra precautions, especially when dealing with one of the most likely items to break from minor impacts on the box alone. The photos I attached shows how B&H does it. Yes the hdd is already in a plastic suspension system within the box, but the consistent extra care and attention to detail from B&H is why I will continue to choose them for all electronics and especially hard drives. As of for the hard drive, this is the 2nd one I’ve ordered for offloading/storing footage. I’ve stored 1tb so far with no issues- it’s also pretty fast for a hdd.
