For the amount I paid, I expected some more durable than this. After 20 months my camera said it is no good and then went blank. I lost my battery door so am caught with a non working camera. Save that door in a secure place!

You Can't Beat OEM Grips

I don't like paying the $409 for this grip, but the alternatives are cheap, plasticky and not weather sealed. I had knock off grips for most of my Canon cameras until I bought the OEM grip for my original R5. So, when the time came to buy a grip for my R5 ii I didn't even consider a knock off.

How much height do the BG-R20 and BG-R20EP add when installed on a compatible body?

The Canon BG-R20 Battery Grip adds about 1.6 inches (4 cm) in height to the camera body, while the Canon BG-R20EP Battery Grip adds closer to 2 inches (5 cm) due to its built-in Ethernet port and slightly larger design.

Will this work with the R6 Mark ii, without limiting it when using LP-E6NH batteries?

The Canon BG-R20 Battery Grip will disable the pre-capture and the high frame rate function on the new Canon EOS R5 Mark II Mirrorless Camera provide. For the Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera all the camera functions remain the same when using the Canon LP-E6N Lithium-Ion Battery, the Canon LP-E6NH Lithium-Ion Battery (7.2V, 2130mAh), and the Canon LP-E6P Lithium-Ion Battery.

The weight is pretty similar across the BG-R20, BG-R20EP, CF-R20EP Battery Grips. They all weight approximately 12.04oz / 340 gm.

The Canon BG-R10 Battery Grip is compatible with the Canon R5 II, with reduced functionality: Network connectivity (wi-fi/wired LAN) is not available. Continuous shooting speed is reduced and it's not possible to select 8K DCI/8K UHD/RAW/SRAW movie recording size, Fine Image quality, or 239.76/200.00/119.88/100.00/59.54/50.00 fps frame rates. HDMI RAW output, still photo shooting during movie recording, High Frame Rate movies, and pre-continuous shooting are also not available.
