Digitally, a ESS Sabre 9028 DAC offers similar results with support for 32-bit/384 kHz hi-res playback.

An MM phono input with RIAA equalization gives vinyl lovers clear results with the suppression of infrasonic noise without affecting bass response. An HDMI eARC port supplies high-quality audio for TV and movies, and other sources can utilize the remainder of the C 389's inputs: dual optical, dual digital coaxial, and dual sets of RCA line-level ports.
Future Expansion
Two MDC2 (Modular Design Construction) slots let you add modules in the future to take advantage of new technologies or add additional capabilities. Some examples include modules that offer Dirac Live room correction, which auto calibrates audio output to compensate for poor acoustics. You can also use a slot to add BluOS multi-room streaming, which can access over 20 services to play back hi-res audio in every room equipped with a compatible device.
