Zynaptiq PITCHMAP::COLORS Pitchshifter Plug-In

Fusing the advanced pitch-mapping tech of the popular PITCHMAP plug-in with additional features and streamlining for real-time electronic music production, PITCHMAP::COLORS from Zynaptiq makes it easier than ever to conform your audio to your chosen key or scale, colorize bass and synth tracks, and turn atonal elements into harmonic content. With three modes of operation, SICK, NSANE, and WTF, you can transform audio with a single click, or get granular with a whole toolbox of tricks.

Choose keys, play chords you want your audio to match, or control everything via MIDI. New scale-shifting techniques let you quickly find the sweet spot within a scale and automate. Formant processing allows you to make pitch shifts and use Formant Gamma, a feature for creating unique exaggerated effects akin to modulating a filter back on itself. With Transient Bypass, you gain full control over the transient content of your audio signals, taking out or boosting transients. This plug-in is available in AU, AAX, VST2.4, and VST3 formats for 64-bit macOS and Windows computers.

Colorize Your Sound
Like its popular sibling PITCHMAP, PITCHMAP::COLORS conforms any audio to whatever tonality you want, quickly and easily. It does so with a distinctly electronic flavor geared for sound design. Switch between the SICK setting, the gloriously resonant NSANE, and the mesmerizingly electric WTF modes, with a single click.
Map Those Pitches
PITCHMAP::COLORS works by separating the input audio into separate sounds based on their pitch, then shifting each up or down to fit a pitch grid individually. This grid is set up using the UI keyboard or a MIDI keyboard—just play the chords that you want to shape the tonality of your audio. Turn major into minor, A minor 7 to F# Major, or wobble bass and noise into harmonic content.
Tweak That Sound
PITCHMAP::COLORS goes way beyond just pitch-mapping your audio. On top of switching the pitch-mapping algorithm itself between three types of awesome modes, the plug-in also provides scale shifting, advanced formant processing, and transient bypass functionality, as well as high-pass and low-pass filters. Create harmonic processing in seconds.
Scale Shift
The Scale Shift parameter makes it easier than ever to sweep through the pitch grid. Find the sweet spot within the scale, or automate Scale Shift as a new arrangement technique, with a single MIDI-controllable parameter.
Formant Shift
PITCHMAP::COLORS features a powerful formant shifter, for changing the perceived size of the sound and making large pitch shifts more natural sounding. Its two octave range has you covered from huge demon voices to hyperactive chipmunks, and a 0.01 semitone resolution provides butter-smooth automations.
Formant Gamma
The formant shifter sports a unique function called Formant Gamma that exaggerates formant peaks and troughs. Think of it as a complex self-modulating filter that creates far-out organic-sounding mutations that add movement and an alien sonic quality to your mix.
Transient Bypass
The more extreme sound modes can smooth out transients in a cool way, but sometimes you may want the transient detail. Enter PITCHMAP::COLOR's super-easy-to-use and great-sounding Transient Bypass. Just dial in the amount of transients that you want to take out of the pitch mapping and then mix back in afterwards. Optionally, boost them beyond their original level, with just one control.
Zynaptiq Morph 3 PRO Audio-Morphing Plug-In

MORPH 3 by Zynaptiq is a real-time plug-in for audio morphing—the sonic equivalent of one object slowly changing its shape to become a different object—for example, one face becoming another. Supercharged with a selection of up to 11 different morphing algorithms, a style transfer and file playback module, transient bypass options, a stunningly clean formant shifter, and a lush reverb that seems to extend sounds like highly revered vintage hardware boxes, MORPH 3 opens up a whole new universe of sounds to explore. Create seamless morphing transitions, new hybrid sounds that combine aspects of existing ones, physically impossible instruments, the furthest-out creature and robot voices, talkbox-esque effects, and other outrageously unique new sounds. Whether you're a sound designer for film or games looking for that signature sound, or a music producer or remix artist wanting to create new content from existing recordings—look no further, MORPH is for you.

Zynaptiq ADAPTIVERB Harmonic Tracking Resynthesis Reverb (Download)

ADAPTIVERB from Zynaptiq is not a traditional algorithmic or impulse-based reverb, rather it uses ray tracing, source separation, and advances in artificial intelligence to produce a reverb response with greater perceived depth, harmonic richness, and smooth tails, all without obscuring the source.

The reverb preserves the tonal definition and directness of a mix, while adding size, glue, and body, characteristics that are perfect for mixing and mastering applications alike. Additionally, the software automatically adapts to the input audio, conforming the reverb tail to the tonality of the input, or a user-defined set of notes.

With its advanced synthesis, cross-filtering, and reverb pitch-processing functions, the plug-in provides ambient artists, film composers, and sound designers with new creative options for making evolving drones, organic pads, lush ambient soundscapes, and more.

New reverberation approach with unique sonic characteristics
Bionic Sustain Resynthesis creates organic tails, eliminating noisy components from the input for clear, harmonic results free of graininess
Harmonic Contour Filter (HCF) circuit for removing effect components not in tune with the input, a captured harmonic fingerprint, or a set of notes defined using an onscreen keyboard
Filtering and pitch quantization based HCF keyboard modes to conform the effect to a specific key
HCF hold mode for creating cross-filtering effects
Ray Tracing and all-pass based reverb engines
Input freeze function for creating drones, pads, or infinite reverb type sounds
Simplify function that recreates the input's harmonic content with a small amount of oscillators for additive synthesis type sounds, without warbling
Richness parameter for adding octave, fifth or unison interval harmonics into the reverb
Preprocessing section including harmonic synthesis based AIR
More than 400 presets covering a broad range of effects, including bread-and-butter reverbs, invisible reverbs, instrument/voice-colored reverbs, cross-filtering, adaptively filtered delays, and pads/drones that play without input signal
MIDI control of all key parameters
Zynaptiq WORMHOLE Audio Effects-Processing Software (Download)

Available for download, Zynaptiq’s WORMHOLE is an effects processing plug-in that aims to bring warmth, clarity, and alias-free signal manipulation to your sound-design toolbox. As such, the software is equally at home on acoustic instruments, electric instruments, synthetic instruments, and even in post-production scenarios: Guitars can be made to shimmer and warble, pianos can be transformed into space-age celestas, and scary, movie-monster voices can be achieved in one plug-in instead of several.

WORMHOLE accomplishes its modulation through dedicated aspects of the plug-in, called Warp, Shift, Reverb, and Delay. Warp provides time-domain spectral warping effects largely free of unnatural artifacts—unless, of course, you want to introduce them yourself. Shift handles both pitch and frequency shifting, giving you the means to detune a sound, apply chorus, and more. It does this in a clean manner, low on artifacts and pitch-jumping. Two reverbs are provided, one for the dry signal and one for the processed sound. These can be combined to your liking. The delay can similarly effect wet and dry signals separately or together. For more descriptions of each effect, please see the features section.

This software, compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, requires an iLok account, which can be obtained for free. It is compatible with AU, AAX, VST 2, VST 3, and RTAS formats.

FX Blend
Instead of a dry-wet control, WORMHOLE offers an FX Blend section which provides multiple algorithms for combining processed signal with unprocessed signal, thus allowing you to morph seamlessly between your input and the effect you'd wish to use. The net effect is a more natural fusing between dry and wet signal, as well as greater realism for heavily processed effects in sound-design applications (invaluable for yet larger than life-yet realistic-voices for monsters, aliens, or whatever else a production necessitates). Additionally, the FX Blend will allow the harmonics achieved by your effects chain to bloom out of the sound source, rather than fade in.
Warp
This module performs a localized time-domain spectral warping effect. Its flavor evokes aspects of ring-modulation, frequency-modulation, frequency-shifting, formant-shifting, modal resonation, and spectral mapping, without sounding like any one of these specific processes. Although Warp, like many of the other facets of this plug-in, does not introduce aliasing, it also includes a tilt control which can add aliasing into the signal to generate grit.
Shift
This effect combines +/-4 octaves of pitch-shifting with +/-4 kHz of frequency-shifting into a single processing step, doing so in a manner that is neither delay/grain nor FFT/phase-vocoder based. Therefore, this module exhibits none of the typical artifacts of software pitch-shifting; neither grains, nor flamming, nor aliasing are present here, while pitch-jumping and warbling is minimal. The module offers 4 dedicated algorithms: Smooth, Tight, Detune A, and Detune B. From simple pitch shifting to thickening chorus effects, pitch-shifting will sound warm and organic. The Frequency Shifter is also clean, providing 96 dB of carrier/side-band suppression and operating aliasing-free. You'll note the Decay Time slider, which, discarding signal components that exceed an adjustable duration, unclutters and tightens up the sound. For instance, it can greatly reduce the ringing effect caused by naturally longer decay times in lower frequencies being forcibly shifted into a subjectively louder mid-range. This effect can also be used for special effects, like simulating analog communications circuit sagging and more.
Reverb
The Reverb section features two simple, lush-sounding random-modulated hall reverbs with shared controls. One is placed before the FX BLEND, giving you a swath of unusual effects when used in conjunction with dry-wet morphing. The other is placed after the FX BLEND. For flexibility, you can use one reverb or both at the same time.
Delay
Living in the slot where other plug-ins might have a pre-delay parameter, WORMHOLE's Delay module can delay the effected signal, the dry signal, or both-and in opposing directions for the left and right channels. You can use the delay to create super-wide effects that are nonetheless fully balanced around the center of the sound stage. In combination with the pitch shifter's Detune modes and the FX Blend, you can achieve a variety of unique effects.
Zynaptiq PITCHMAP 1.5 Real Time Polyphonic Pitch Processor Plug-In (Download)

The Zynaptiq PITCHMAP 1.5 Real Time Polyphonic Pitch Processor Plug-In is a real time, pitch processor that allows you to change the pitch of individual elements of a mixed track. Using either PITCHMAP's interface or a MIDI keyboard, you can change the melodies and harmonies of a track, or adjust the pitch and key of an entire mix.

Using Zynaptiq's Mixed-Signal Audio Processing, or MAP technology, the PITCHMAP breaks a mixed track into its individual components, including its harmonics and transients, before giving you control over their pitch. With the track broken down, you can make changes ranging from subtle corrections in tuning to completely change the key or melodies in the performance or eliminating components altogether. PITCHMAP includes a layer of processing dedicated solely to vocal elements, called Natural Mode, which handles the nuances of this range for more realistic pitch adjustment.

PITCHMAP also allows you to change the overall sonic landscape of your tracks. With the Purify and Electrify parameters, you can alter how synthetic or realistic the changes to your track are, adding another level of sound design. The plug-in supports AU, VST 2.4, RTAS, AAX Native, and AudioSuite plug-in formats on Mac and VST 2.4, RTAS, AAX Native, and AudioSuite plug-in formats on PC.

In-Depth Features
24 Vocoders in One
Orange Vocoder IV doesn't just give you one great vocoder sound, it gives you twenty four vocoding and cross-synthesis modes, each with its own unique sonic character. It can sound warm and fat or ghostly ethereal, dark and moody or crystal clear, smooth as butter or utterly destroyed. You'll never run out of inspiring new sounds.
Meticulously Crafted
Staying true to the Zynaptiq style, they threw in an excellent formant shifter, a new take on a filterbank, release/reverb called Traces, HF through and unvoiced synthesis, an expander keyed on the plug-in input, as well as zero-latency operation for two of the modes. And most importantly, all of this was meticulously crafted to sound incredible, up-front, and dynamic, and to sit well in the mix.
Comprehensive
Going way beyond just offering the ultimate in vocoding, Zynaptic have loaded Orange Vocoder IV with features for workflows related to vocoding, like creating vocal tuning and layered harmonization effects, pads and drones, synth sounds, and harmonic support in a color bass style, so you can literally mix and match.

To keep workflow fast and easy, Orange Vocoder IVs modules are all hooked up in a semimodular routing architecture, clearly laid out in the Overview view. Using an interactive signal flow diagram as its interface, it makes coming up with new sounds a dream. Switch modules into the signal path and adjust their key parameters, load subpresets into them, adjust routing, mix, solo or mute the various processors, and much more. To dig deeper, click on a module's box to open the synth, vocoder, or effects pages.

The Synth
Orange Vocoder IV features a 64-voice synth that comes with hundreds of presets and a preset generator that will create new sounds for you with a click on a button. The synth can be used as input to the vocoder, layered with other modules, or used on its own.

Its two oscillators can use analog emulated waveforms as well as sampled vintage digital waveforms, and feature two flavors of ring modulation, hard sync, through-zero FM, and seven types of polyphonic distortion. They feed into a 6 to 24 dB low-pass filter with beautiful resonance. Comprehensive modulation options include:

  • Mono- and polyphonic LFOs (audio-rate capable for the oscillators)
  • AD envelopes
  • Envelope followers and zero-crossing trackers
  • Velocity and a 4-destination macro control
  • Unison operation with up to 8 additional voices and DETUNE and CLUSTER modes
  • Mono Legato with glide
  • MIDI control and on-screen keyboard playing options
Pitch Quantization
Orange Vocoder IV features a pitch quantizer for forcing the input signal onto a specific pitch, which can be used in parallel with, or instead of, the vocoder. It has 5 modes: Quantize, Scale, Note, Enforce, and Polyforce, that provide flexibility and a wide range of sound options.

Enforce and Polyforce use a wavetable-inspired approach and feature zero-latency processing for live performances. The pitch quantizer is extremely easy to use—just switch it on and choose the algorithm, it will then be controlled by the same notes as the synth including mono legato and glide.

The Freezer
The Freezer module will freeze the audio coming in to the plug-in when you click its big snowflake button, sustaining the current timbre indefinitely. It is placed before the pitch quantizer module, so that you can play melodies with it. You can load and save freeze buffers, building a library of colors as you go.
The Dice
The Dice button in Orange Vocoder IV triggers a smart randomizer, which will load randomly selected but carefully designed settings into the synth, vocoder, and Freezer modules, giving you the inspirational infusion that a randomizer brings to the table, but creating useful results.

You can exclude any module from the dice roll, select whether you want to use musical or SFX-type sounds (or both), and whether to use the factory subpresets or your own (or both). The Dice are context-aware, so if you're in the synth view, only the synth will be rolled.
