Leofoto LS-284CEXX Reviews
quite good for the price
bought this to use mainly for landscape photography when I need to do air travel and can't take my larger RRS tripod setup. I just recently used it in some pretty rough rain, ocean salt and sand conditions on the Oregon coast. it held up very well. I did need to take it apart and clean it and I appreciated how simple it was to disassemble the legs to clean off the sand and salt. Im 6' 2 and even though this is a pretty light compact tripod (about 21 inch collapsed) it fits great on backpack and in my checked bag for air travel. It still gives me just enough height with the ballhead on that I only need to bend just a few inches to view. Just 3 inches longer and it would be perfect, but a reasonable compromise for how light and compact it is. The included leveling base is a nice extra. Just keep in mind it can kinda get in the way if you already use a leveling base of some sort. I'd opt for the non- level base model if you really don't need it. This with a BH40 ballhead is now my goto setup.
Great little tripod.
I have two top tier RRS tripods and wanted something small and light to use with my Fuji X camera bodies. This thing is a nice combination of tall enough, sturdy enough, light enough for that task. I put an Acratech Pano head on it, and it matches the diameter of the leveling base very well. This makes an ideal sort of “good enough” tripod for lighter cameras.
