Add a powered subwoofer to your legacy system with this SoundPath Speaker Level Subwoofer Adapter from SVS. By stepping down the speaker-level voltage to RCA line-level, you can use this adapter to connect a powered subwoofer to your legacy system without any loss of fidelity. It's ideal for any integrated amplifier or stereo receive that does not have line level or dedicated subwoofer outputs. Hookup is as easy as plugging in amp/receiver cabling into the dual gold-plated binding post inputs, and your subwoofer cabling to the RCA output.

SVS SPSUBADPT Reviews
Works great!
I used the SoundPath Speaker Level Subwoofer Adapter to connect an older stereo receiver to a power amp.The receiver did not have pre outs to connect to the amp so i connected this to the speaker outputs and connected the rca jacks on the SoundPath Speaker Level Subwoofer Adapter to the power amp. It converted the volume level to a line level that is still controlled by the volume knob on the receiver.Works great and is simple to install. Exactly what i needed.
Solid device
I purchased a Klipsch subwoofer to go with my book shelf Klipsch so that I could get the bass response that I needed. I connected the subwoofer to the line out of my receiver but realized that the volume control did not effect the line out. So I needed to take the B speaker output to the subwoofer and this device did exactly what I needed.
