This cage is amazing. Had a Smallrig, and nothing against Smallrig, it has its purpose for specific users. But the 8Sinn cage is next level, its bigger, better grip, feels solid and allows 1/4-20 thread mounts on both sides where as Smallrig does not. With this cage the camera feels like a full size camera but its not if that makes sense. I think the price is steep for what it is, if it was like $90-$100 regular cost would be more ideal, because cages in this price point are more superior.
This feels and functions better than the SmallRig S9 cage. The grip is more substantial and provides a more secure hold. However, I’m not sure if this cage is compatible with the RigidPro S9 Cinerig Base.
