Bluesound Node Icon Overview

Stream Everything

You have access to so much music from this compact and sophisticated device. The NODE ICON can play your digital music library and stream from over 23 online services using either a wireless Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) or wired gigabit Ethernet connection. You can also play audio directly from your TV via an HDMI eARC connection, or from mobile devices over Bluetooth. The NODE ICON supports high resolution content, such as FLAC, MQA, and DSD 256, plus two-way aptX Adaptive over Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, and direct from the BluOS app.

Headphone Amplifier

Private, audiophile-quality listening is possible from the NODE ICON using your high-end headphones. Two 1/4" headphone jacks and feed-forward error correction provides lifelike sound with low noise and distortion using THX AAA technology.

Two-Way Bluetooth

Maximizing the convenience of Bluetooth technology, the NODE ICON supports two-way wireless transmission. Send music to the NODE ICON from your phone or tablet, and listen using an optional pair of wireless headphones or compatible speaker.

Connect to Bluesound

The NODE ICON can wirelessly connect to your existing Bluesound speakers and stereo components for a whole-home, multi-room experience. Using the BluOS app and dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) network connection, play the same song in each Bluesound-equipped room, or a different track in each. Controlling playback can be done via mobile device or your desktop.

Dirac Live Ready

With an optional upgrade from Dirac and optional calibration kit from Bluesound, the NODE ICON can truly offer an audio experience customized to your space. Room correction technology will measure your room's acoustics through the Dirac app, helping to eliminate bass traps, echoes, and other distortions and audio imperfections based on the physical room; delivering you a more pure and dynamic sound.

This is my first streamer and I wasn’t sure what to expect because I had already tried a few inexpensive Bluetooth receivers which I thought were terrible. So far I have only used my iTunes library for playback, but the sound, when compared to using my desktop is amazing. It had boosted the bass response of all my music, and being a bass fan I am very satisfied. I will now have to subscribe to a streaming service to see more of the Icons capabilities. I had some trouble when first starting up the Icon, but a phone call to B&H CS solved that with the help of their excellent tech Latisha, she even followed up with a phone call a few hours later to confirm everything was working properly. I have always had a pleasant experience with B&H. The B&H Payboo card is an added bonus.

Upgraded my Bluesound node to the Bluesound Icon. The separation and wide sound field was an immediate improvement. B&H deliver it in just one day. B&H service was outstanding.

If using earc, will it decode dolby, or does TV ...

If using earc, will it decode dolby, or does TV need to be in PCM output mode?

When using the Bluesound NODE ICON Wireless Music Streamer (B&H # BLNODEICON), set the television's digital output to PCM for the best stereo music reproduction. Your TV should have the best output settings for Dolby Digital. Dolby Digital is superior for multichannel audio.

Does it come with a remote?

The Bluesound NODE ICON Wireless Music Streamer (BH # BLNODEICON) does not include a physical remote control. Remote control happens via a mobile device, desktop PC, Crestron, Control4, RTI, ELAN, URC, Lutron control systems, or Amazon Alexa Skills.
