As it has a lithium battery, it allowed on an airplane in (1) checked bag or (2) carry-on bag?
Asked by: Stephen
You can bring the Bose SoundLink Flex Portable Bluetooth Speaker 2nd gen on an airplane, but it’s best to pack it in your carry-on bag. The speaker contains a lithium-ion battery that falls well below the 100 watt-hour limit set by airline and TSA regulations, so it is allowed in carry-on luggage. While some airlines permit devices with built-in batteries in checked baggage, it is generally not recommended because of safety concerns. For compliance and peace of mind, keep the speaker in your carry-on, make sure it is powered off during the flight.

Can a bluetooth mic be connected to use this as a small room speaker?
Asked by: Mark
The Bose SoundLink Flex Portable Bluetooth Speaker (2nd Gen) cannot connect directly to a Bluetooth microphone for use as a karaoke or PA speaker. It is designed to receive audio from Bluetooth sources like smartphones, tablets, or computers, not to act as an output for a Bluetooth mic. While the speaker does have a built-in microphone, that feature is only for voice calls and voice assistant commands, not for amplifying external microphones. If you want to use it for karaoke or speaking in a small room, you can: -Play background music from your phone via Bluetooth. -Use a wired or wireless mic connected to a separate mixer or karaoke device, then stream the mixed audio to the speaker via Bluetooth. For setups requiring direct mic input, a PA system like the Bose S1 Pro+ would be a better choice.
