Agreed, I'm shocked that I can't remove the windshield. The original ME2 you could do this, I don't know why in the world you can't. It's bulky, and I can't hide it underneath clothing, nor use stickies or other mounting devices.

Instead, use the Sony ECM-V1BMP Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking Sony 3.5mm Connector (Black), which is B&H # SOECMV1BMP. It is the same lavalier mic that is included with most Sony wireless lavalier microphone systems.
