LCM and LED Display Design
The Rocstor U35 is equipped with a clear, readable LCM display and LED indicators for system monitoring during operation. Users can easily identify and review the status of the storage system at all times. Moreover, it comes with visual and audio alarms whenever failure occurs.
Hardware RAID
Rocstor has designed the Rocpro U35 with support for hardware RAID modes. They offer RAID 0, 1, 5, and JBOD, with speeds reaching up to 250 MB/s when connected via USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, or other USB-C interfaces that includes Thunderbolt 3 and 4.
USB-C
The U35's USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port may be connected to your host system using included USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables.
Built-In Power Supply & Advanced Power Management
The Rocstor Rocpro U35 has a built in 150W power supply which conforms to safety regulations. It provides a stable and high efficient power output, while also providing energy efficient hardware components that work hand in hand with Mac or PC systems to conserve power. The U35 spins down the hard drives and activates the sleep mode after a period of inactivity.
Monitor Expansion and Charging
The Rocpro U35 supports the 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 protocol. You could easily use it for storage data and editing directly from your Mac or PC. The USB-C connector provides 24W (12V/2A), 18W (9V/2A), and 15W (5V/3A ) USB Power Delivery (PD) that can be used for charging notebook and mobile phone devices when data is being accessed. The U35 also provides one DisplayPort 1.1a for adding a second display.
Smart Cooling and Alarm Functions
The Rocpro U35 is designed with an MCU feature which monitors and helps improve its in-chassis system temperature. If the system temperature rises due to drive usage, the MCU will increase the fan speed to full and the alarm will sound. Users can manually adjust the fan speed by switching it on in the rear of the storage unit. The MCU would reduce the fan speed down to SMART speed for a better green usage environment, with less fan noise and lower power consumption. Additionally, if the fan fails or the device temperature is too high, the buzzer will beep and let the user known of the fan's status. The buzzer may be turned off through the mute adjustment switch on the back panel.
