Marked with the distinctive red line normally found on their professional lenses, the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 Professional 17" Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer from Canon produces wide format print sizes with deep blacks, detailed gradations, and a wide color gamut that accurately reproduces even the most difficult colors. This printer utilizes FINE (Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology, and the 11-color LUCIA PRO II pigment-based ink set creates prints with improved gloss uniformity and anti-bronzing. The Chroma Optimizer enhances glossiness, flattens the print surface, and expands the color range. The PRO-1100 produces prints up to 17" wide, prints borderless up to 17 x 25", and is compatible with media up to 0.7mm thick.

Equipped with the L-COA PRO Image Processing Engine, the PRO-1100 quickly and accurately determines printing paths and patterns to create an efficient workflow. Bordered 17 x 22" photos are created in just four minutes and Canon's Air Feed System helps prevent paper from being deflected, so ink falls accurately and in the right place. Also, to expand on the capabilities of the LUCIA PRO II ink set, it uses highly light-resistant inks for long-term preservation of printed images, plus improved scratch resistance, improved black density, and improved reproduction in blue-dark areas.

A 3.0" color LCD on the front of the unit offers an easy view of the settings for making adjustments. Connectivity options include USB 2.0, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). Wireless printing adds compatibility with Canon's PRINT app, Apple AirPrint, and Mopria for iOS and Android devices.

Anti-Clogging Technology and Compensation Function
Anti-Clogging Technology is controlled using a fine print head that controls precise ink ejection. Ink nozzle conditions are precisely checked with sensors and when a blockage is detected, another nozzle automatically provides backup. In addition to preventing printing failures due to banding, this also reduces the frequency at which head cleaning is required.
Air Feeding System
The Air Feeding System prevents paper from skewing for accurate ink placement. It prevents the sheet in use from being deflected in such a way that the ink falls accurately and in the right place. This uniform level surface allows incredible ink drop accuracy and better image quality.

The LUCIA PRO II ink system helps you achieve improvements in color-reproduction, image clarity, and enhanced darker areas. It faithfully reproduces colors and dark areas crucial for printing works of art.

Such a great printer!! Create your own beautiful large prints. I created my own gallery in a hallway that needed something in my house. Pretty easy to use as well once you get initiated.

Former Epson 3880 user, reluctant to move away from Epson. Threw caution to the wind after speaking with a B&H associate who helped me make comparisons. The photos are beautiful. The machine is quiet. I am very happy.

Can this printer handle 50 sheets of 8.5x11" enhanced matte paper at a time? My epson p900 can't handle more than 5 sheets

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 Professional 17" Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer cannot handle 50 sheets of Epson enhanced matte. In general photo papers are too thick for stacking large quantities.

This printer only handles media up to 25 inches long, but the 310 cn print up to 70 inches long? That makes no sense???

The tray on the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 Professional 17" Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer can only hold sheets up to 25 inches long. However, when using a paper longer than 25 inches depending on the weight of the paper, the leading edge may lift up causing printing to be misaligned. Canon recommends holding the paper by hand in order to prevent the leading edge of the paper from lifting up.

You can use Epson paper with the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 Professional 17" Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer as long as the paper is within the media constraints of the printer, which supports a maximum size of 17 x 25" and a maximum thickness of 11.8 mils for the paper tray and 27.6 mils for the manual feed slot.
