The Audio-Technica ATW-T1407 is a desktop digital wireless transmitter designed for use with gooseneck XLR conferencing microphones and compatible with a System 20 PRO receiver (microphone and receiver both available separately). The unit delivers high-quality audio transmission at 24-bit / 48 kHz resolution and features a low-profile form factor well suited to meetings and educational applications. The female XLR 3-pin connector supplies 24V phantom power, allowing the transmitter to work with a wide variety of gooseneck microphones. A customizable mute button lets you choose between toggle, touch-to-talk, and touch-to-mute modes, depending on your preferences, while an OLED screen on the bottom shows you channel, level, and battery information.
The System 20 PRO operates anywhere in the world in the 2.4 GHz spectrum, well away from potential TV and radio interference. The transmitter's RF output is fixed at 10mW and the unit offers a maximum transmission range of 200'. Three levels of diversity assurance—frequency, time, and space—ensure reliable audio transmission. A built-in lithium-ion battery powers the ATW-T1407 for up to 12 hours if the accompanying mic has no LED and 8 hours if the mic has an LED. The battery is recharged in 3 hours and 10 minutes via the USB-C port; a USB charger and cable are supplied. The system can be expanded with additional transmitters and receivers to accommodate up to 20 mic channels simultaneously.
