Designed for data intensive applications including AI/ML training, media post production, and enterprise backup solutions, the RocketStor 6542AW 8-Bay PCIe 4.0 x16 RAID Enclosure from HighPoint has eight 2.5" NVMe drive bays that can accommodate U.2 and U.3 SSDs. Connectivity with your host Windows or Linux system is established using a CDFP interface on the enclosure, plus an included Rocket 1544 adapter and CDFP cable. The adapter is installed within your host system using its PCIe 4.0 x16 interface and connects to the enclosure using a CDFP port. All in all, data transfers can reach as high as 32 GB/s, or 400 Gb/s. Other integrated ports include USB-C 2.0 for parameter settings and upgrades, 100Mb RJ45 for device monitoring, and a Kensington security slot. This enclosure supports RAID 0, 1, 10, and Single, while LED indicators, audible alarms, and fan controls help users monitor operations.
