Logitech G G915X LIGHTSPEED Reviews

Great look and functionality, but has some random quirks.

I love the keyboard features... volume roller, game mode button, plenty of G keys, cool lighting features. However, some negatives are that a couple of keys type an extra letter every now and then (maybe it's just me getting used to a mechanical keyboard), and I had to use the onboard memory of the keyboard to save a lighting profile because I use a KVMS to switch between two PCs. Without the onboard memory, the keys are dark when I switch and you can't tell what your key you are hitting.

Great hardware, very lacking software, underwhelming final result

This keyboard feels nice and looks good, the hardware is 5 stars. Unfortunately, the software is so spotty that it knocks this down to mediocre for me. The keyboard has intermittent lack of response, and the lights will go dark randomly requiring I unplug it and plug it back in to return to functionality. I cannot program the G-shift functionality as advertised because the software errantly overwrites base layer assignments. It is a nice keyboard, but for the price and unfulfilled functionality, I am left disappointed.

What's the difference between the Clicky, Linear, and Tactile switch?
Asked by: Teddy
With the Logitech G G915 X LIGHTSPEED Low-Profile Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Carbon, GL Tactile), the tactile version has keys that have a noticeable actuation so you can feel the moment when the key is pressed as you type, the linear keys have a smooth and quieter actuation, and the clicky keys have a louder audible click when the key is actuated.
