HP Series 7 Pro 4K Overview

Collaborate and create awe-inspiring work with true-to-life clarity on the high-performance Series 7 Pro 27" 4K Thunderbolt 4 Video Conferencing Monitor from HP, which utilizes Thunderbolt 4 connectivity to help increase your productivity. With Thunderbolt 4 technology, this display is able to deliver video, data, and network connectivity, and up 100W of power, using a single cable. An AI-enhanced 4K HDR webcam, which is complemented by integrated quad speakers and dual microphone array, helps you look your best on video calls, even in low-light environments.

HP's Series 7 Pro features an HDMI 2.0 input, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, a DisplayPort 1.4 output, one 10 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 input that supports up to 15W of Power Delivery, one 10 Gb/s USB-C port that supports up to 15W of charging, five 10 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one of which supports 7.5W of charging and one which serves as a dedicated port for a keyboard or a KVM switch, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. If you'd like to daisy-chain a second display into your setup, there is a second Thunderbolt 4 port with up to 15W of charging power. The display also features an anti-glare panel with IPS Black technology, a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, support for 1.07 billion colors (8-bit + FRC), coverage for 98% of the DCI-P3 and 100% of the sRGB color gamuts, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 2000:1, 400 nits brightness with VESA DisplayHDR 400, and a 5 ms (GtG) response time with Overdrive. Using the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. To further help improve viewing and accessibility, the display features a vertical tilt of -5 to 20°, a swivel of 90° (±45°), a pivot of 180° (±90°), and a 5.9" height adjustment. If you'd like to attach the Series 7 Pro to a wall, there is an included 100 x 100mm VESA mount.

For anyone looking for an Apple-comparable display, I am not sure this is exactly it. The colors in particular were a challenge for me; I had to try various settings before landing on one that felt ok (not overly saturated), but it's fine and probably great compared to other non-Apple displays on the market.

Great monitor with some drawbacks

I purchased the HP Series 7 Pro 27 4K HDR Video Conferencing Monitor to replace a monitor that died on me. The color is bright and the resolution crisp. Overall, a wonderful monitor for the price. I have only a couple of negatives. The camera/mic is a pop up in the top center of the screen, My issue with that is I use a Computer Monitor Light Bar. If I center it on the screen, then the camera is not accessible. I can offset the Light Bar, but then it gets in the way of the camera. So every time I want to use the camera, I have to completely remove the Light Bar. Secondly, the install instructions were all but non existent. It took some trial and error to figure out how to get the monitor to select the correct input. I wish the setup instructions had been more clearly written. Overall, I really like this monitor. I just wish it accommodated my Light Bar.

The HP Series 7 Pro 27" 4K HDR Monitor could be used for daisy chaining and KVM at the same time, as long as the host computers have Thunderbolt 4 connectivity.
