Nanlite V-Mount Battery Grip Reviews
almost a must-have
I have a couple clamp-on options for attaching a V-mount battery to a light stand. Nanlite uses a 4 pin XLR jack for the power on the Nanlite FC-120C, and the cost of buying a 4 pin to D-tap cable is about the same as buying this V-mount battery grip. So, buying this grip provides an option to mount the light on a stand or hand-hold the light and provide the power cable I need for V-mount use. Build quality is nearly all plastic except for the stand mount. I always worry about the V-mount locking pin getting broken off, but otherwise the build quality seems adequate. So, if you power your light with V-mount batteries and/or wish to hand-hold it, this gizmo is worth considering.
Does the job
Unlike the V-mount adapter for the FC-60, the attached cable is actually long enough to do the job. Still feels really cheap, but probably good enough.
