This highly versatile light comes with Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz for wireless connection, DMX/RDM capability, and smart fan modes for complete control over sound. The FC500B's light head is conveniently separated from the included power supply, so each can be as lightweight as possible.

Bi-Color Output with Advanced Features
Advanced features include maximum output mode to supply full output power and constant output mode to maintain constant intensity across the CCT range. Adjustable from 0 to 100% in 0.1% increments, users can easily fine-tune the dimming to achieve the precise intensity needed for video and photo productions. At 5600K, this light outputs an incredible 65,640 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector.
Multiple Control Options
For precision control, intuitive local knobs and a 2" screen are available, but the FC500B can also be controlled remotely using your smartphone.
  • You can fully control the light from your smartphone via Bluetooth with the NANLINK app.
  • The fixture can also be remotely controlled on a 2.4 GHz connection using the separately available WS-TB-1 transmitter or WS-RC-C2 remote control.
  • Locking metal 3.5mm DMX/RDM port facilitates advanced control and enables the FC500B to be quickly adopted into any DMX-controlled environment.
12 Practical Lighting Effects
Choose between 12 built-in customizable effects that can be saved as presets using the NANLINK app.
  • CCT loop, INT loop, flash, pulse, storm, TV, paparazzi, candle/fire, bad bulb, firework, explosion, and welding
Smart Fan Modes
The light offers smart fan modes to suit your sound requirements on the set, avoiding interference with audio recording.

If you don’t mind a bit of weight, this is the perfect light for any creator. It’s a little bit difficult to travel with since it’s ~20lb, including the battery and case. But, you will not regret purchasing this light for studio work.

lit up the panel area with a softbox from 20 feet away

with an apurture light dome 3 softbox from about 15 to 20 feet away the FC-500B at max rescued as a key light the lighting of a discussion panel outdoors . we quickly deployed both our lights when other lights of which were said to be brought were not . the fellow shooting with me who used of a gvm panel light for the fill, said he sees folks using nanlites and in particlular the forza series all over the place in part because of their color accuracy . i guess price point in comparison to others here in Hawai‘i may influence things too a bit . i asked him if nanlites were as good as amaran lights and he said better . i was suprized at this for in many reviews the amarans looked richer and more saturated in color when comparing of these . maybe they are easier to use to get richer colors, but may not be as accurate . dunno . he said too that the forza series and the FC-500B types were essentially the same in performance with regards to color accuracy . he carried a light meter with him and although the FC-500B had a cream colored diffuser on it, it tested 4950K when the light was set at 5000 i think . dunno how much the diffuser would bring up or down the K though obviously . never had time to test it without the modifier . all of it turned out well in consideration of the fact that it was a quickly deployed backup . it does have i admit a nice clean look i would still like to see the amaran 600c or any other lights though in person, however if aft of seeing them and i were to buy them or if i were to buy amaran or apurture, i would probably need to buy two amarans or two apurtures so as to keep them matched properly the lower ranges of the FC-500B may not go as far as the FC-300B, but if you will not be using of those ranges or are shooting with precautions outdoors wherein you will be mainly using of the upper intensities of it, i think 2 stops above the 300B, then consider getting the package for cheaper that is made of two FC 500B’s and some stand peripherals as a kit, if it is still there . i do not think these would be refurbished ones . full frame cameras i should think may need the lower possibles of the 300B but maneuvering or diffusing or bouncing who knows what with the 500B may offer other options if there is enough room . having more light can really give alot of options in suprizingly so ways i like that the ac reciever part of the unit that gets hotter is separate . although maybe this may not really affect the light like with the forza wherein they are combined, but it seemed less worrisome since i do not know much about the forza series . i would prefer some way to hang it for there is more dissipation of heat if it has an ability to hang it that would come with it . in any case the light part itself did not seem to get very hot when shooting outdoors at night . the thing tho about shooting out of doors is that one should be very careful and at any glimpse of rain one should prob not set it up . for many shoots tho one could put a canopy or umbrella somehow over it . people might have to buy the evoke series for weather protection the yolk gives a nice smooth range . though where the ac power plugs in it does not allow room enough to accommodate comfortably without risk of fraying of the cords involved as deployed in the back of the light, to rotate vertically directly up 90 degrees if you buy a light modifier for these nanlites consider getting modifiers of all the same brand . in the case of the nanlite modifiers, they do look easier to deploy as compared to for instance, the apurture light dome 3 of which necessitates alot of muscle or pushing the positioned prongs directly on the ground risking of tearing of the fabric covered tips without a blanket of some sort . alot of planned obsolescence there is to see in alot of products or shortcuts in cost in the production thereof or some reason of wanting people to have confidence that it is a really tightly held together modifier i am leary of the fact it is a styrofoam case of which i am using to carry this to shoots outside, but so far ok . i may get to place them both in a pelican that has nice padding to prevent micro shocks . however the design of the FC-500B seems such that the light would do ok only in that same styrofoam box that it comes in . i have dropped it once off the cart whilst packed away in the styrofoam and it seems still ok . i had thought the locking mechanism was stuck after i opened it today, but i found my button somehow in there and the mechanism still seems to hold in locked position well overall the FC-500 is a great light and i have two of them now for shooting where alot of light seems necessary in the outset of planning or just in case
