Effectively eliminating the need for stacks of ink cartridges, the PIXMA G3290 Wireless MegaTank All-in-One Printer from Canon uses an integrated ink tank system that makes refilling much simpler. For printing, the G3290 uses a reliable inkjet system with a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi to deliver sharp text and vivid images. The system can also work quickly, with speeds of 11 ipm in black and 6 ipm in color. You can create borderless photos with ease and work with a variety of standard media sizes from 4 x 6" to 8.5 x 14". Using the 100-sheet rear tray, you can work with more specialized media from 3.5 x 3.5" up to 8.5 x 11". Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity in addition to USB 2.0 furthers the potential. Scanning and copying is made possible due to the implementation of a flatbed unit. This supports media up to 8.5 x 11.7" and operates at an optical resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi for sharp, detailed images.

Canon G3290 Reviews
Peace of mind at last
I did lots of research and was ready to give up hope of ever finding a reliable all-in-one for my needs. I had a Canon Pixma for almost 20 years that never gave me a problem till the end when the rollers started going. Against my better judgment I replaced it with an HP and regretted it from the beginning because I had nothing but problems with it from the get go. I have found that HP's bloated overloaded software is only part of the problem - my HP Envy 6455 was very light and attractive but flimsy and completely unreliable, temperamental, and frustrating - I will never again have an HP product. When I narrowed down my options to 2 or 3 models, including the Epson megatank all-in-one, another Canon, and this one, the G3290, I called B&H and spoke with a very patient gentleman who told me he thought I'd be really happy with this model, and he was right. I have enjoyed almost everything about it from the get-go. After 7 months I have had exactly one minor problem where the print was uneven on the page. Not another issue - this model has been quiet, reliable, easy to operate, intuitive to use, and I don't have to reset my usual printer settings every time, which I had to do with the HP. I haven't had a single paper jam yet. I know that other reviewers have complained about wireless problems, but I keep my printer near where I work so it's at arm's reach and I have no problem keeping it connected with the USB cable, which picked up my network instantly. On the few occasions where I did need to use it wirelessly, again I had no problems, and I also had no problem with the setup - it recognized and connected to my network right away. I've printed, scanned, and copied and it's been pretty seamless. The biggest advantage for me is how well automatic duplex printing has worked. I think I printed duplex on my HP successfully no more than 20 percent of the time with no jams, no misaligned or blank pages, or no printing on 2 separate sheets - the rest of the times were nothing but frustration. With this Canon it's been great with duplex printing. My only complaint, and it's a pretty major one, is that the ink tank windows are all dark and I can't tell at all what level of ink I have in any of them. I went online to seek help and they said to make sure the printer is in a well-lit room. I even used a flashlight and the tank windows are still stark black, and there are no instructions for how to check ink levels online. This is a big drawback and I'm going to call Canon support to see if it can be resolved. As far as my purchase, though, the positives far outweight the negatives and I was completely happy with my purchase experience from B&H - they had the best price - and with the level of support they gave me.
Impressive photo printing
I hadn’t bought a printer for a very long time. I knew I wanted one that had ink tanks instead of cartridges. Set up was straightforward, and the printer prints gorgeous photos. I won’t know for a while how economical the printing is, but so far I’m impressed. B&H shipped it quickly too!
