Can this record a "backup track" at a lower db level (safety track) like my Tascam DR40 can?
The TASCAM FR-AV2 Compact 32-Bit-Float Field Recorder and Timecode Generator does not have a safety track feature. Because it records at 32-bit, you would never have to scrap a recording because of distorted or weak audio. You would have the ability to fix the recorded audio, without having to use audio from a safety track.
