    Fully featured with a few m.2 nitpicks

    This is a pretty nice AM5 mobo with a lot of loaded features. I've stuck with Gigabyte for quite a few years and they've always been rock solid. Some people have had some issues with very long initial boots with Ryzen but I've had no issues with this board. CPU and memory install were a breeze and the screwless m.2 install mechanism works well once you get the hang of it. The bios is nicely laid out and I also really like how Gigabyte's software now enables you to install all the drivers you want without needing to reboot a dozen times. Now for what to be aware of. First of all, the primary m.2 slot above the graphics card has a gigantic heatsink. However, the heatsink physically prevents your finger from pressing the graphics card unlatch - so you'll probably need to remove that heatsink to do maintenance on the GPU. Second, the 2 shiny m.2 PCIe5.0 slots under the 3-slot wide heatsink will sap your GPU's bandwidth so it will only run at 8x. Third, the bottom m.2 slot is shared with the PCIe4x slot below it, which means if you have a sound card or some other PCIe slot card, you can only really use the bottom PCIe2x slot. However, if you happen to have a wide card like my Sound BlasterX AE-5, it will cover all the ARGB mobo slots and some of the system fan slots. You can get around this by using the upper ARGB mobo connectors and an external controller but yeah, it would have been nicer to have more clearance space between the last PCIE slot and the motherboard headers. So all in all, note that there are 4 m.2 slots, but there are kind of sacrifices to be made if you want to actually use all of them.

    Setup was straight forward. Make sure that you download the drivers ahead of time. Pay attention to what case you get as the 12v input is to the very top left hand side of the board and can cause issues with cable routing. Gigabyte all in one driver package installs Norton so beware of that. Paired w some ddr5 6200 expo & low latency picked up memory and the rest has been history. One gripe - The slot for the NVME drives 2-4 will be blocked by larger video cards so if you need to install a nvme drive you will need to remove the video card first.
