Built around a large 19MP sensor, the AK-UCX100 4K HDR 12G-SDI Studio Camera from Panasonic is ready to meet your live video demands with up to 12G-SDI output, SMPTE ST2110 redundancy, and support for NDI, ST2110, and SRT. This professional broadcast camera features a high 2000 TV-line, UHD 4K resolution video at rates up to 59.94 fps. Ideal for studio, sports broadcasting, and live event use, this versatile camera can simultaneously output HLG (BT.2020) and SDR (BT.709) and offers 2x UHD 4K and 2/3/4x HD high-speed modes. The AK-UCX100 camera offers standalone operation without requiring a CCU, outputting video via its fiber optic and 12G-SDI connectors.
Excellent Resolution
The 19MP MOS sensor uses oversampling to output highly detailed images with 2000 TV-line resolution. High F10/2000 lux sensitivity and a 62dB signal-to-noise ratio help to produce high-quality video, even in low-light scenarios.
Standalone Operation without Requiring a CCU
Providing flexible compatibility with both baseband and IP systems, the AK-UCX100 supports various IP standards, including 12G-SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI High Bandwidth, and SRT, all without requiring the use of a CCU.
Fiber Adapter and CCU Compatible
Designed to accommodate different on-site needs and anticipate future ones, the AK-UCX100 works with the existing AK-UCU700 CCU series and the new AK-CFA100 camera fiber adapter.
SMPTE ST 2110 Support for IP
- SMPTE ST 2110 compatibility enables the AK-UCX100 to transmit uncompressed 4K video for stable IP operation in both live and studio settings.
- A future update will offer support for JPEG XS with low-latency, virtually lossless video for smooth IP output even in bandwidth-constrained environments.
- A future upgrade will offer Tag VLAN camera management for large-network operations.
ST 2110 Redundancy
The AK-UCX100 provides SMPTE ST 2110 compatibility, enabling redundant operation and network redundancy during IP operation.

- Simultaneous use of HLG (BT.2020) and SDR (BT.709) enables optimal color reproduction for virtually any content.

Low-Pass Filter Option
An optional OLPF (optical low-pass filter) helps to reduce any moire effects when capturing LED walls, providing clear visuals of stage shows using LED displays.
PTZ Camera Integration
Pair the AK-UCX100 with a Panasonic camera to get a multi-angle look with seamless color matching using the same ROP (remote operation panel).
Focus Assist Function
Phase-detection focus technology includes an in-focus icon in the viewfinder and a boost function for enhanced contrast of dark areas within the viewfinder.
Video and Data Trunk Transmission
Using an optical fiber cable to transmit video and data between the AK-UCX100 and a CCU enables system upgrades as the need arises. Dual 3G-SDI camera-to-CCU and camera-to-CFA connections with integrated frame synchronizers enable prompter, fixed return, and camera-side monitoring. One 3G-SDI can also be used to output video from a handheld or PTZ camera.
