Behringer P16-HQ Reviews

Dead after 1 year

Purchased 2 of these in the spring of 2025. One year and 3 weeks later of very light & well maintained use, both have developed identical electrical failures and have become unusable. Behringer does not have a support department to help with any troubleshooting, and since these 2 mixers are now out of warranty I spoke with a repair shop who informed me that it would be cheaper to buy new ones than try and get the faulty ones repaired. FWIW I also own 3 of the original P16-M models that are over 5 years old now and they are going strong, so there is something wrong with these new HQ models, buy at your own risk.

Very nice!

Purchased 5 of these units to connect to my X-32 in the studio. Work great! Sound great! B&H delivered in one day!

Will this P16-HQ work with other digital mixer, like Yamaha or Presonus studio live lll ?
Asked by: Prince
Yes, the Behringer P16-HQ 16-Channel Personal Monitoring Mixer can be used with mixers made by other manufacturers, like Yamaha and PreSonus, and brands that do not have Ultranet capability, when using the Behringer Powerplay P16-I Networked Input Module with ADAT (B&H # BEP16IV2), which converts the output signals from those mixers to Ultranet.

What's different about this new behringer P16?

What's different about this new behringer P16?
Asked by: Anonymous
The new DA converter is supposed to be improved. The output of the phones plug has been upgraded to better drive lower impedance headphones and ear buds. Instead of printed channel numbers and little lights above the buttons, which made it hard to tell which button you were pushing on a dark stage, all buttons are backlit, with the colors indicating signal and mute status, with the number printed on the button so you always know which channel is which. The interface look is also updated, so it looks more like the X32 or Wing series, with radio knob lights and the like. As far as I am aware, all of the functional features of the P16M are included, just improved.

do these gave a screw mount on the bottom like the old ones?
Asked by: trenton
The Behringer P16-HQ and other P16 series mixers generally do not have a direct screw mount on the bottom for attaching to a stand. Instead, you need the optional Behringer P16-MB mounting bracket. Behringer Mounting Bracket for P16-M B&H # BEP16MBV2 MFR # P16-MB.
