Great binoculars for astronomy . Excellent color and clarity . No streaks or blurs

Light weight enough for handheld use

These 20x80 Explore binoculars are the lightest weight I've seen and I can comfortably hand hold them in my zero gravity chair with my elbows resting on a tabletop that slides over the chair (hospital bed type table). The optics are fabulous. The light grasp is truly astronomical. At 20x magnification most people will use them mounted, but with planning they can definitely be used handheld. The overall fit and finish is great. The right eyepiece diopter adjustment mechanism and the main focus mechanism are smooth are work great. The eyecups are amazing and rotate up and down smoothly without stops along the way. For the seasoned binocular veteran, objective collimation tweaking is possible using a 1.5mm pin, in an adjustable spanner wrench should it ever be needed. Prism collimation screw access might mar the protective coating on the binoculars unless you are very experienced. To conclude, these binoculars are just a fantastic buy and Oberwerk provides a warrantee card, a card showing collimation accuracy, and great ongoing product support. This is a nearly perfect astronomy binocular for verifying detail I think I'm seeing with my general purpose Oberwerk 15x70 Explore binoculars.
