Bought one for my mini ITX build about a year and a half ago. Ssd performs very reliably, with good speeds for gaming and real-time streaming of creative assets. Functions extremely well, even with the more restrictive airflow of a small case. Like it so much I bought a second one to add in shortly after.

I understand 4TB is not officially supported but I did use a different 4TB drive from Lexar in my Cloud Gateway and it works perfectly well. I cannot say whether this Samsung will as well, but am just noting about the theoretical max capacity.

The main difference between the Samsung 4TB 990 EVO Plus PCIe 5.0 x2 M.2 Internal SSD, B&H # SAMZV9S4T0B, and the Samsung 4TB 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 Internal SSD, B&H # SAMZV9P4T0B, is the sequential read and write speed; the 990 Pro is the faster of the two drives. Beyond that, the 990 Evo can run cooler and is more power efficient. If you are using the drive for everyday use, the 990 Evo will do just fine; if you intend to use the drive for more demanding applications, the extra cost of the 990 Pro is worth it.
