Inspired by the legendary Neve 33609, the 369 from Behringer is a 2-channel compressor and limiter that delivers the same glue-like sound of the original. Sporting two independent channels of individually bypassable compression and limiting, you can engage in precision stereo or mono compression/limiting with the flip of a switch.
The compressor offers ratios ranging from 1.5:1 to 6:1, threshold selection from -20 to +10 dBu, 100 to 1500 ms release, and variable makeup gain control. The limiter section provides 50 to 500 ms release times and +4 to +15 dBu threshold selection. Both compressor and limiter sections contain two automatic release presets and switchable Fast or Slow attack settings. Custom Midas transformers provide balancing for all I/O, which includes two XLR inputs, two XLR outputs, and a DB-15 external control terminal. You can keep an eye on your signal processing easily with the two large vintage-style gain reduction meters. The 369 includes a power cable and an integrated universal, switching power supply.
Each section is equipped with rotary switches, allowing for precise and repeatable settings, which means consistent compression for every recording or mastering session. You can even set both channels at exactly the same settings if that is what your mix demands.
With compression ratios from 1.5:1 up to 6:1, the 369 can be as gentle or aggressive as your track needs it to be to sound its best. Presets on the Recovery setting set a defined baseline decay time that automatically adapts to the signal introduced into the 369.
