This should be the standard

This should be the standard in the film industry, since a milk crate with the metal liner becomes expensive anyway. Holds my grip equipment very securely and having the option of adding a lid, and dividers is great too. I bought the divider for it and it is very solid.

Nice Improvements to a Production Staple

It's nice to see some improvements and innovation on a production staple. Milk crates get used to carry all kinds of things on a film set. A common size allows you to unify your kit, making it easy to stack them together, fitting more on a shelf or a cart, all at a reasonable weight. Sidio improves on this design by adding their own internal divider system which you'd have to solve with a DIY system of some kind with a regular crate. There are other accessories like bottom mats and lids that be added also. Having a diverse range of colours is a fun plus also. I've selected Orange and Grey as my 2 colours and use them to colour code different things on my truck. I'm glad they offer full size and half size (and recently a 1/4 size). Overall the build is fine. The dividers can jostle loose out of their slots if something heavy, internally, bangs them around too much. The clear lids you can get attach a little awkwardly. The cost is also a little a premium compared to a standard crate so consider your needs first. In summary I think they do a good job if you want some of these extra features. I'm glad B&H stock these as ordering from Sidio directly and shipping to Canada is not a viable option.
