Will not connect to WI FI or Apple

I have used Canon Printers for years and they have been flawless. This printer can not connect to any of the Apple devices, I had Canon support that could not problem solve, I had a old cannon printer but the scanner was broken that connected to wifi without any problem. Tech support stated their was nothing wrong with the printer. So I am stuck with a printer that I can not use with my phone or iPad or through it in trash and get a new one. I thought it scanned in duplex it only prints in duplex Canon Support was unable to problem solve and get the printer on line. Very Frustrated, I have set up many printer's on network'a and could not get this one online.
