Its desktop form factor features a half-height LTO-9 tape drive that supports a native capacity of 18TB and read/write speeds of up to 300 MB/s. It can also take advantage of 2.5:1 compression, which allows LTO-9 tapes to store up to 45TB and transfer data at speeds up to 750 MB/s. System connectivity is established using dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, one of which provides daisy-chaining and up to 60W of charging power. A 12 Gb/s SFF-8644 SAS port provides another option for host connectivity, while a second 12 Gb/s SFF-8644 SAS expansion port lets you connect additional SAS devices. Also supported is 256-bit encryption, WORM media, a premium power supply with a cooling fan, and LTFS (Linear Tape File System) compatibility, making backup and archive operations easier to an open source and interchangeable tape format.
