NAD Electronics C 268 Overview

Experience efficient and satisfying stereo power and performance with the NAD C268 Stereo Power Amplifier. Designed to be used in a variety of scenarios, the C268 features balanced XLR and stereo RCA inputs to pair with any number of output devices, including high-end preamps and processors. The C 268 uses NAD's advanced Class-D amplification and a customized version of their Hypex UcD output stage to deliver 80W of continuous, distortion-free audio into 8 or 4 ohms. It can also be used in bridged mode, turning it into a 300W monobloc amplifier.

Straightforward Setup
The C 268 can be easily integrated into an audio system of separate components. It is equipped with stereo RCA and balanced XLR inputs, adjustable input level gain control, and a 12V trigger in and out for simple and straightforward setup. Additionally, an RCA stereo line out allows for easy signal chaining to additional amplifiers or subwoofers.
Focused on Sound
Great sounding amplification needs to follow some fundamental principles, including low noise circuits, accurate channel balance, proper input and output impedance characteristics, high overload margins, and stability with difficult speaker loads. NAD starts by getting these things precisely right and advances from there.

The line inputs, both balanced XLR and RCA, can accommodate all kinds of analog source components by offering ideal input impedance characteristics with linear ultralow-noise buffer amplifiers to prevent any sonic degradation caused by inappropriate loading of the source device. These are all details you can hear.

The power supply is capable of nearly 200 watts continuously and over 500 watts instantaneously to allow for short term musical transients. NAD's innovative Asymmetrical PowerDrive fully utilizes every last watt available with its vast reserves of dynamic power available to accurately reproduce musical transients without distortion or compression. This highly efficient supply also provides near perfect regulation of voltage across a wide range of conditions and provides a solid noise-free foundation for the amplifying stages.

Additional Features
  • Auto turn-on with selectable threshold
  • Ground lug
  • Detachable AC power cord
  • Pairs well with the power matched C 368 Integrated DAC Amp
