NAD Electronics C 298 Overview

Featuring advanced Eigentakt amplifier technology developed by Danish tech company Purifi and built by NAD, the C 298 is capable of delivering 185 watts of continuous power at 8 Ohms into two channels, or 620 watts in bridged mono mode. With power and features among the best in its class, the C 298 is a solid power upgrade for many systems and pairs well with some of the most sophisticated loudspeakers on the market.

What is Eigentakt?
Combining already renowned self-oscillating Class-D amplifier technology with novel feedback algorithms, Eigentakt nearly eliminates harmonic and intermodulation distortion and allows for an even, wide, and load-invariant frequency response with negligible output impedance.

NAD’s renowned designers worked closely with Purifi Audio to customize the Eigentakt implementation to ensure every product featuring the technology would meet the high standards NAD is known for. For this reason, NAD manufactures its own Eigentakt modules rather than buy off-the-shelf.

Straightforward Setup
The C 298 can be easily integrated into an audio system of separate components. It is equipped with stereo RCA and balanced XLR inputs, adjustable input level gain control, and a 12V trigger in and out for simple and straightforward setup. Additionally, an RCA stereo line out allows for easy signal chaining to additional amplifiers or subwoofers.
