The SHAPE Shoulder Mount with Matte Box & Follow Focus outfits your Blackmagic PYXIS 6K camera for comfortable, cine-style handheld capture. This kit comprises a comfortable shoulder-mounted handheld rig, a single-tray matte box, and a single-rod follow focus unit. Components include a 15mm lightweight baseplate, an ARRI-style dovetail, a 501 adapter plate, a dual rod bracket, a mini composite shoulder pad, a back pad, and a pair of 18" 15mm support rods.
The SHAPE Shoulder Mount for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K provides a comfortable shoulder-mounted handheld rig for your PYXIS camera. This shoulder mount comprises SHAPE's PYXIS 6K 15mm Lightweight Baseplate, ARRI-style dovetail, 501 adapter plate, quick handle rod block, mini composite shoulder pad, back pad, and a pair of 18" 15mm support rods. The quick handle rod block mounts on the rods and features the SHAPE push-button adjustment mechanism, while the mini shoulder pad mounts onto the lightweight baseplate and provides a mount for the back pad, letting you pull the rig forward and stabilize it against your back.
Built with a rugged aluminum frame and a lightweight silicone shade for daily use on your camera rig, the Lightweight Matte Box with Single 4 x 4"/4 x 5.6" Filter Tray from SHAPE clamps onto 124mm diameter lenses, and it can adapt to different size lenses with the included lens adapter kit. The included filter tray fits one 4 x 4" or 4 x 5.6" filter.
There are stops at the bottom of the filter tray slot to prevent the filter from falling through, and it can be easily accessed using a quick release pin. One 124 to 87mm clamp-on adapter ring is included, as well as four threaded lens adapters to enable mounting the matte box on lenses with 67, 72, 77, or 82mm threads. Optional components are available separately, including a carbon fiber top flag, swing-away rod clamp, and clamp-on adapter rings such as 124 to 114, 104, 100, and 95mm.
Use the compact SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15mm Rod Clamp with your camera setup to make focus pulling easy. The modular design allows you to add and remove any of the components without screws or tools, and its small profile allows the addition of a matte box or accessories around your lens.
At the core of the kit is a rubber, anti-slip follow focus wheel attached to a single aluminum 15mm rod clamp. The clamp rotates to adjust to most lens sizes, and it's tightened by a locking lever. The clamp's rotation also allows the focus wheel to easily swing out of the way when changing lenses.
Five drive gears are included to fit a variety of lens sizes: 0.5 MOD/78T, 0.6 MOD/64T, 0.8 MOD/38T, 0.8 MOD/43T, and 0.8 MOD/78T. The gears can be flipped from front to back to facilitate different lens configurations. A 49mm rubber friction wheel is also included for the 0.5 MOD/78T gear which is most commonly used with DSLR lenses.
For alternate fine-focus configurations, use the included speed crank or 11" whip, both of which attach to the center point of the knob. Four magnetic marking disks are included to attach to the focus wheel.
