Take your gaming and content creation experiences to a new level by including the MSI MEG Z890 ACE LGA 1851 ATX Motherboard in your computer build. Supporting Intel Core Ultra series 2 desktop processors with the LGA 1851 socket, gamers and enthusiasts can outfit this motherboard to smoothly handle extremely demanding applications and AI workloads.

Designed to help simplify builds, MSI's EZ technology makes it easy to install one M.2 PCIe 5.0 and four PCIe 4.0 SSDs to store your games library, applications, and important files. There are also four SATA III connectors available alongside four DDR5 DIMM slots. With two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, you can install powerful graphics cards and other compatible expansions.

The rear panel features two Thunderbolt 4 ports that can transfer up to 40 Gb/s with compatible devices or connect a USB-C compatible 8K display. It's also loaded with two USB-C and 11 USB-A ports that support 10 Gb/s devices. An internal header allows you to connect a front panel 20 Gb/s USB-C port. Built-in Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) support and a 10 Gb/s Ethernet port provide you with connections to compatible network devices for smooth 8K video streaming and low-latency online games.

EZ M.2 Clip II
MSI's EZ M.2 CLIP II makes SSD installation seamless. Insert the SSD into the M.2 slot and press it down to lock it in place with the clip. Flicking the clip outward lets you remove the SSD. Use the EZ M.2 Clip II remover tool to detach or reposition the clip on the motherboard.

Thunderbolt 4
In addition to transferring up to 40 Gb/s with a reversible USB-C connector, Thunderbolt 4 supports up to one 8K monitor or two 4K displays simultaneously. It also works with 20 Gb/s USB4 and you can daisy chain up to six devices to a single port.
Wi-Fi 7
Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) introduces higher speeds, wider channels, improved efficiency, and reduced latency over Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), with maximum speeds of up to 5.8 Gb/s. Utilizing 320 MHz on the 6 GHz band ensures reliability during simultaneous transmissions at max speeds and the 4096 QAM boosts peak transmission rates and network capacity. Multi-Link Operation enables devices to simultaneously send and receive data across several frequency bands and channels to meet traffic demands and the growing number of wireless devices.

If your using RAID you can never update the BIOS. It will erase your settings, and you lose everything and have to reinstall. Then fight the Rapid Storage Technology (that you have to download from the website and extract to a USB) to get the drivers to load to reinstall the OS again. Rebooting several times to get the driver to see the RAID Array. Should have stuck with ASUS if I knew this. ASUS kept the RAID settings after BIOS update.
